great reading your pages
any help with training, quin has passed a 8 weeks course with me.
but he will not come back if let off in the park, i have try everything to get him back, but other people have got hold of him for me before he as got near roads, he will stop with me if no-one or any other dogs are about.
quin is 9 months old he be with us from 3 months from the dogs trust.the only place i can let him off in the tennis area with the wire so he can have a good run but he needs more can you advise

Hi. I think I bought a pet home from you on Ebay? That's how I found your site. I like your site! I have a border collie that I bought in England from Vimick border collies. She is a beauty breed dog but has just gained top marks in her sheep herding test (In france a kennel club dog is mongrel until it passes a herding test. There is a very good shephard in the south of France that runs weekly herding holidays. They are really great!!!! She is also very good at agility.And cuddles on the sofa!!! Sorry about all the boasting but any one who ownes a border collie thinks thier dog is the best. In Lucy's case this is true Ha Ha Ha!!!! I have very much enjoyed looking at your website and reading the stories about each one of your pets.
I have just obtained my first border collie (Tri-colour) and he is one year old. Unfortunately, the previous owners did not train him particularly well and I can only presume they liked Ollie from his cute puppy looks.
I have taken a few tips from your stories. I am glad to hear that other Border Collies chase cars and can be very protective of their owners. Ollie is constantly growling at other dogs and people so he will be going to obedience classes next week.
Your pets are beautiful.

looking for info on teaching dog to catch.

Enjoyed your web site. On seeing Maddie, i had CORIES PENNY who was Maddies litter mate sadly i lost her in 2003 with lymphoma she was a wonderful dog, A ONE OFF. Reading about Maddie i could see Penny was so like her, laid back for a border collie even your pictures of Maddie are like Penny. I miss her so a True Friend. Norma

Hi,
Really nice site. It was weird looing through the border collie colours, as i recognised one of the dogs. Jackie muir's china. Lovely dog! I used to go o the same class as jackie with my dogs, Tia (tri-colour) blitzen (smooth coated, black and white).

I love your site! We are the proud parents of 4 rescue Borders that give us nothing but joy and love. Our oldest(Greta) is my obedience, agility, and tracking dog. She also loves sheep, but mom is a bit of a whimp at that.
Our 5 year old boy is a comic relief. He is fast and loves agility. He also does tracking and is ready for the obedience ring. He had a hard begining , but is now coming into his own. Our red girl is three and very serious. God forbid we would ever make a mistake. She is Dad's best friend and they are doing well in agility. Our baby is 5 month old and came to us to be fostered with no plans to stay. He was taken from his mother at 3 1/2 weeks of age and needed a good Border home to teach him the "ropes". We, he has worked his way into our hearts and work very nicely in our pack.
Good luck with your website and dog training. I personally do not know how I ever lived with Borders in my life!

Great Site! reading all the info on the agility and flyball. interested in starting my dogs in it even though they are a bit older than the average newcomer. "WE" all thought it would be fun. I have 7 border collies. :-) everyone of them different colours and markings and even lenght of coats. we wanted them all different. haha
